FEASIBILITY STUDY

The feasibility study is a critical and essential first step in the development of any project. Depending on the circumstances it can be a brief overview of “where we are, what our needs are, and what our goals are.” For other projects, an extensive evaluation is required before the project can be developed.

Bright Star Consultants will act as partners with you to ensure that the right feasibility or needs statement is developed for your project to match the funding you require. We will work with you to develop:

  • A needs assessment to determine the organizational readiness and needed tasks to position the company for maximum funder interest.  Interviews, research, and analysis would go into an executive summary resulting in a task check list.

  • Research and detailed recommendations for strategic alliances for collaborative partnerships to improve you application score.  Funders want to invest in projects and services that 1) are not a duplication of services 2) generate large impacts as a result of the work, 3) are more competent and comprehensive than your competitors.

  • Research and network to determine the funding sources that are the best match for your mission and services and make targeted recommendations for application.  This is very important as you don't want to waste time and energy on unlikely grant opportunities.  This process is supported by the needs assessment and strategy building of the prior two steps.

  • Create a deliverable document that serves as the platform to position a successful funding strategy.  From this position of readiness we could then effectively go after grants.

See the sample consultation on the Non-profit page for an example of a fully integrated funding and project feasibility study and implementation plan. More can also be read in the news articles on the Bright Star in the News page.
